Finally!  Here comes my favourite product – Foundation!  I am a strong believer of foundation.  Foundation is such an important key to good make up, be it for a casual hang out, last minute prep in a traffic jam, or a long and crazy night out.  So it’s very important that you invest in good foundations, not just for rainy days, but everyday, every night.

So what determines a good foundation?  Here are the important keys, take note!

• It should not clog your face, or cause breakouts.
• Your foundation should match your skin type.  If you have dry skin, use moisturising foundation.  If you have combination/oily skin, use oil-free foundation.
• It is better to get a foundation with SPF to protect your skin from harmful UV rays.  It is also a practical choice as we work throughout the day.  This brings to another important point.
• Your foundation should last you throughout the day (or night).  If it should wear off under humid weather and dancing all night long , apply Moisturising Cream Compact Foundation or Oil-Free Even Finish Compact Foundation for touch up.
• A good foundation should always feel like your second skin.  The key to successful make up is when your foundation blends into your skin naturally.  It should bring out your natural colour.  So it is your priority to choose a shade that matches your skin tone.  Our objective is in achieving a natural flawless look, it should appear matte and not appear cakey, or you’ve just slabbed some superficial paint on your face. 😀
• The characteristics of a good foundation is that it glides smoothly, it blends well into your skin.  It should provide coverage over your spots such as pigmentation, pimples or broken capillaries while maintaining the au naturale feel.
